Smudging with the finger feels nice and can actually smooth the paste out a little and soften the markings - no longer a steel finish.

Master Paste Original is a Cold Wax Medium for Encaustic Fusing. Mix the clear paste with oil paint colours or dry pigments - whichever you like. Apply with palette knives - use a good mixing knife to begin with. Work in one simple layer - like this embedded tissue print. Or make collage, or paint in colour layers - much more too. Once dried off, then fuse with low heat - 70C or 165F. Leave to cool, then polish with soft cloth & a little dampness. Substrates are best rigid (but slight bending can be absorbed). Thanks to Antonin Sedlacik for creating and making MPO available to us all. ©2013 Michael Bossom - Wales. www.masterpasteoriginal.co.uk
